Adding a property
Need help adding a property to your Symple profile, inputting previous inspection dates, or including keyholder information? Check out our FAQs below!
We need this information to ensure that we remind you when the future inspections are due and carry them out for you on time so you can avoid late fines.
You can order inspections at any time by clicking “order now”. Once your service provider completes the inspection, Symple will automatically remind you when it’s due next!
We strongly recommend that the keyholder is the property’s point of contact.
This allows the engineer or assessor to easily arrange the appointment without having to involve anyone else (it also means less communicating back and forth for you).

A gas safety certificate is valid for 1 year. Electrical installation condition reports last 5 years, and energy performance certificates 10 years. PAT – For other stationary, movable or IT equipment, it is recommended to test every 12 months. Boiler service – It’s extremely important that your boiler is serviced every 12 months. If your boiler is within the warranty period, this could be voided if you don’t arrange the regular, recommended maintenance.
Yes. To provide services for Symple, all Gas Safe Service Providers, Electricians, and Energy Assessors must be accredited to carry out the relevant inspection and pass a strict vetting process before they can accept work on Symple.
No, you don’t need to do anything as we’ll do it all for you. We’ll only need your help in the unlikely event that your tenant doesn’t grant our service provider access to your property.
Absolutely not. All you need to do is confirm your order and we’ll do the rest. That includes ensuring the work is carried out on time, as arranged. We guarantee your certificate will be in your inbox by the due date or you’ll receive it for free.*
You can check job progress at any time via our portal. As soon as the Symple service provider has finished, you’ll receive a notification that the engineer or assessor completes the work. You will usually receive your certificate within 48 hrs of the job completion by email, and it will also be available to view/download from your dashboard.
In the unlikely event you’re not delighted with the service you receive, please get in touch with us immediately. We will investigate any concerns you have and find a solution to the problem.
Yes, that’s one of the major advantages of Symple. You never have to worry about forgetting to renew. We’ll remind you in good time before your next inspection is due and offer to carry out the work for you. All you need to do is click “order”, and we do it all for you again.
Of course. Our services are available to homeowners too. We’ll arrange and carry out your energy assessment, gas safety inspection, portable appliances tests, boiler service check and/or electrical appliance checks when they’re due.
Absolutely. With our bulk upload feature, you can easily manage this whole process for as many properties as you like. Please get in touch with us so we can help you set this up.
No. All the service providers we use must apply to join our database and be qualified to deliver the relevant service. When you request us to carry out an inspection or assessment, our qualified service providers will be notified of the job and have the option to accept it. The business model is much the same as the one popularised by Uber.
Our support team is UK based and available via phone or email. We do not use frustrating chatbots.

Of course! We use Stripe, a system used by thousands of businesses worldwide. This system is fantastic, as it exceeds the security standards used by most industry payment systems, giving you the safest payment experience possible.

No, you don’t pay a thing to become an approved Symple service provider. It’s totally free, and a total no-brainer!
You’ll need to upload your certificate from the relevant accreditation scheme for the service you are qualified to provide. You’ll also need to upload a valid government ID such as a driver’s licence.
We ask for these details at registration because as soon as you complete a job, we can process the payment immediately.
Please rest assured that we can only make payments to your account with this information; we can’t retrieve payments with these details. Your personal bank will confirm this should you want further clarification.
Yes, you must have this insurance in order to work with us.

That’s up to you. When you sign up to Symple, you set the distance you’re prepared to travel to work. This could be as little as 1 mile away or as far as anywhere in the UK. We’ll notify you when jobs come up within your selected area.
We’ll alert you via email or text (whichever you prefer) when a job in your selected area becomes available.
When you accept a job from us, you will receive a full job overview which will include the details of who to contact to make the appointment with.
Please try several times to get in touch with the keyholder by calling the phone number provided or emailing/texting them if they don’t answer. If there’s no response, you should click the ‘Get Help’ button on the Symple platform. This will alert our customer success team, who will help you contact the keyholder.
You should reach out to us, and we will contact the landlord of the property to get you access.
That’s fine. You can accept or reject any jobs that we tell you about. Symple is all about giving you total flexibility to work when and where you want.
No problem. You will be able to view jobs that are available outside your chosen area. You can accept any job if you feel like spreading your wings and venturing further from home!
No, there is no minimum requirement when it comes to taking on assignments. You decide how much or how little you work. Symple is all about flexibility.
As we have hundreds of Symple service providers on board, our jobs get taken incredibly quickly, especially in more populated areas. As it is a first come, first served offering, we cannot guarantee a job to a specific service provider. You need to work fast when you receive a new job notification!

Pricing for each job is confirmed when you accept it. So you are in full control and have all the information you need to decide whether you want to accept the job or not.
We will release your payment once you have uploaded your certificate to the Symple portal and it has passed our verification process, which typically takes 24 hours. Payment will be made directly into your chosen account within 7 days from job completion.
